Every other modern device I have works perfectly from my basement office: my MacBook, my work laptop, my iPhone, my OLED Steam Deck, my TV, you name it. But the Switch 2 wouldn't even connect to my router from my room; what gives?
Turns out the Switch 2 firmware is just dumb-- the logic needs a little more sophistication. Where other devices are smart enough to use "802.11ax" when it's available, the Switch 2 was trying to use one of the older standards. To solve the issue, I just disabled every single 5 GHz mode in my router except "ax"-- and instantly the Switch 2 not only connected, but now gets the same download and upload speeds via WiFi as it does it does via Ethernet.
My single biggest complaint with the Switch 2, solved!
The Pope on Healing
I saw this some days ago, and the Pope's message reminded me a lot of the excellent Andrew Wommack healing ministry talks my friend sent me a few weeks ago! From the Pope:
"When Jesus speaks to the paralytic, he asks a necessary question: 'Do you want to be healed?' Sometimes we prefer to remain in the condition of being sick, forcing others to take care of us.
