Also been playing a little Switch 2 as I have time. I wrote a pair of Switch-related reviews, for "Diablo 2" and "Fantasy Life i". I also have a backlog of books I need to get start getting through-- but by the time evening rolls around, I'm usually pretty darned tired!
I was in the Twin Cities this past weekend, and had a blast hanging out with first my mom, then my dad. My dad bought an electric bike-- other than a rather hilarious mishap trying to fit through a doorway in the apartment hall, we took it outside and cruised up and down the sidewalk. I then took it for a short drive through the neighborhood.

It really moves! It can go 25 mph, which feels like a lot-- the sensation of speed is great when you're exposed and riding on it, since it's small and low to the ground too. It can even be driven around on streets, as it has a working headlight, brake light, and even turn signals, which are operated via a two-way toggle switch. I hear food delivery drivers use these in downtown New York City all of the time, and I can see why!
The thing also folds up and fits in the trunk of a car, or a closet. You can also shut off the electric motor altogether and use it as a bicycle, for exercise. Overall it's just a really, really neat thing, and wasn't even that expensive!
We also went to Mass at the Cathedral in St. Paul. St. Paul is the capital city of Minnesota, and the Cathedral is the seat of the arch diocese of Minneapolis and St. Paul. I felt uncomfortable taking pictures inside, but I did snap this one of the exterior. The inside is not "Sistine Chapel" territory, but I tell you it's not that far off either-- it's incredible!

We also did all of our transportion via the train system. I should have taken a picture of that as well, but it looked basically just like this. That thing can really move! You check in on the platform, then just hop right on when it arrives. On one of our trips a "conductor", for lack of a better term, came around and spot-verified a bunch of cards, including my own-- just to keep people honest.
On a different and final note, I also have this feeling that I might be finding out today whether or not I still have a job at my employer. They are in the midst of performing layoffs, and I have reason to suspect the news will come to each employee this week. The income from my career, plus the job flexibility, is a perfect platform for my move into the diaconate-- so I'm crossing my fingers.
