Phew, I'm finally over whatever the heck it was that I had! I'm still having to clear my throat a lot, but for the first time in awhile I'm feeling basically one hundred percent normal today.

Not much new to report! My employer announced major layoffs, so I'm waiting to hear that I still have a job before I pursue the next step in the diaconate process. Other than that, I bought "Fantasy Life i" for Switch, and have been playing that in the time that I've had to play video games. Phenomenal game!

Speaking of Switch, I've been billed now for two of the three Switch 2 units I have pre-ordered. The third one hit a fraud alert with my card-- which I acknowledged, but not until a couple of hours had elapsed. I hope that order doesn't get canceled or some absurd thing like that. Crossing my fingers, otherwise I won't have one at launch as the other two are owed to my daughter and a friend of mine.

Lazio have re-hired Maurizio Sarri. Regular readers will know that I was desperate for him to resign last time he was at the club-- not because I wanted to see him go, but because the situation had become untenable between him and a few of the stalwart players, none of whom are even with the club anymore. So I'm pretty pumped to give it another shot, Sarri is a world class coach.

I've also gotten back into Minnesota United over the past couple of months. Their coach is amazing-- the team has a real identity and is brimming with confidence. They have some real quality too; Nicolás Romero, Tani Oluwaseyi, Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Dayne St. Clair, and some others could definitely move up a tier. And that's not even getting to Joaquín Pereyra, who is my favorite player in the team-- super nifty two-way player, with great passing range and technical ability.

Tonight, it's going to be: make some dinner, play some video games, and read a book.
