Review
An interesting and surprising puzzle game. There's very little plot in this one and it's surprisingly unique as a game. It plays similar to an old style of marbles or roller type game where the goal is to get to the exit. There are about 7 levels in each zone along with some unlockable bonus levels. The game starts out by showing a turtle falling towards an island, and that's it. The game ends with the same turtle sliding out into the ocean. 2 screens tell the entire plot of this game, so odd. So gameplay-wise, you control the turtle and roll it around each map to try to get to the warp-tunnel exit thing. Along the way you encounter doors, more often than not, that require colored keys to open. The catch is often that these keys are in hard to get areas and sometimes require you to get other powerups like the jump powerup, the ignore-terrain powerup, or the invincible-to-electricity powerup. There's also a blue shell powerup, but it doesn't take out whoever's in first. Instead it makes you not slip on ice. With this basic setup of shenanigans you'd think this game might be decent, and you'd be right. It's got a good rythmn and flow for a puzzle game without any plot. In addition, the music is actually pretty catchy. Specifically the 2nd zone (lagoon) has some really relaxing music. I don't know if it's actually the 2nd or 3rd zone, but I'm just claiming it's second for now. This also begs the question, if the turtle is in the lagoon, why does he need to go up to the volcano to beat hte game??? There are a total of, I think, 7 zones? each with 7 levels in them, and this is once again one of those 100% to beat games. Well, not quite... you see each zone has bonus levels in them that can be unlocked as well. Although you need to do all the main levels to beat the game, the bonus levels count towards the true 100% counter. I'm not sure if a true 100% counter unlocks anything, but considering there's 2 screens in the game for plot, I don't think I'm missing out on all that much. Some puzzles in the game are time-based, and other times you can actually trap yourself and have to either wait out the timer or select-reset the level. The puzzles are actually pretty nice, except for some I couldn't figure out. The worst ones require running jumps, because boy howdy this game has momentum and sliding. It's not really a horrible game, but getting moment and trying to land on a tiny block to unlock a bonus level is a bit extreme for me. The Jungle, The Lagoon, The Woodlands, The Space Station, The Glacier, The Volcano, and The Bat Cavern are all the places you'll visit. Out of all of them, the Lagoon is the best theme'd music-wise. The Glacier is probably the worst due to ice and slip mechanics. The music is definitely a strong point of this game and the graphics are light and cheerful. Credits after the final level. If you need a brain-teaser to mix things up, this is a good one to pick up and play through.

GLITCH ALERT!: There's a glitch with doors and fans that allow you to "Turtle Phase" through doors.

All in All, The turbo gameplay received an 8.5 score for it's good level design. Ice Mechanics, some Questionable Jumps, Momentum Movement, Win-or-Lose Gameplay, NO PLOT AT ALL.
