A Fischer-Price game based around a cartoon & toy series. I'm not too familiar with the series personally but I am aware of the style that Fischer-Price brings and boasts about in terms of it's cartoonish style. Billy Blazes is the mustachioed firefighter that saves the day in this series, and this game is all about being a firefighter. This is a children's game and plays like a 2D platformer/rescue game. Your job is to rescue all of the people in each stage by fighting through the fires and obstacles to get to them. There's not too many levels in this game, only about 8. The levels get progressively harder as the game goes on, however, as a children's game, it won't pose much trouble. Your basic 'attack' in this game is a fire hose which sprays water on fires to douse them. It can also hit other things like switches. While progressing through the game you get various upgrades of the firefighter variety, such as the power axe, a grappling hook, and a ladder. Strangely enough, the best part of this game was probably the music. Although the rest of the game was ridiculously easy, the music held it's own against other more serious video game titles. The graphics and controls also felt very well done overall for such a short game. If the studio had enough motivation, they could have turned this into a much longer/bigger game that would have probably brought it more success in the public eye. The level design was akin to something out of an early PC game. Credits after the final boss on the "STATUE OF JUSTICE" (not liberty).
All in All, RH:BB gets an 8.0 for it's decent level design. The final boss was more or less garbage. The "bonus level" were additionally bad. The jump wasn't good enough to jump over obstacles that were unavoidable(like boulders).
