Narbacular Drop (Sniper)
Genre: Puzzle
Developer: Nuclear Monkey Software
Publisher: DigiPen

Graphics
Narbacular Drop's mish-mash of colors, lack of a lighting model, and primitive geometry is partially offset by the engine's availability of anti aliasing and high resolution textures.

Sound
Narbacular Drop uses no sound effects, and one song plays through the game's five or so maps. The song's moribund nature fits the dungeon-themed premise perfectly.

Gameplay
Narbacular Drop sees the player move about a 3d dungeon using first-person style controls, while rendering "portals" on the walls, ceiling, and floor surfaces. Objects, including the player, can be sent through these interconnecting portals to solve the puzzle-like stages. A clever concept indeed!

Overall
Narbacular Drop is perhaps more of a tech-demo than a full-fledged game. Its coarse artwork, lack of aural capabilities, and a playthrough time that can be achieved in less than two minutes once the puzzles are understood proves that point. All the same, it is an interesting entry into the continuing timeline of video game releases.
