Review
The weird lovechild of a 3way lesbian affair of ESPN, Konami, and Disney. This game was made before the great emo drama of 2003 where disney started to go extra woke and ESPN was still considered "the source" for sports. The game itself is actually fairly good and fun. As a golf game, it could be hit or miss depending on if you're a golf fan or can handle it. As far as a golf game though, it's fairly standard and decent. all the courses are between 3-5 par and there are 5 tournaments in the tournament mode. Some of the courses are mirrored and it's a bit obvious. The gameplay is the atypical bar-charge style, press A to start the swing, Press A to stop for power, Press A again on the line to get a spin or cut. An interesting feature to this game is that every time you get control to aim, it automatically aims for the hole and selects the longest range club that won't go past the hole. As long as you can control your spin and keep your power levels down, the auto-aim feature can cut back A LOT on the aim time you normally have to do in golf games. Wind and Weather do exist in this game as well, but can be turned off, which I highly recommend. The difficulty of enemy golfers increases as each tourney gets unlocked. Speaking on that, Tournaments have a pretty weird unlock feature. To start off, you only have 1 tournament unlocked, but as you gain more prize money, more unlock. From what I can tell it's something like:

"Free -> 1st tourney" (prize money 200k)
"200k -> 2nd tourney" (prize money 300k)
"1 mil -> 3rd tourney" (prize money 400k)
"1.5mil -> 4th tourney" (prize money 500k)
"3 mil -> 5th tourney" (prize money 600k(what's the point???))

The numbers I found are all rough, 2nd tourney might be 250k as an example, 4th might be 1.75mil.. It's a bit up in the air and pretty hard to calculate considering how long each tournament is to win/lose simply for a small amount of prize money by comparison. Win a few times, get prize money, unlock new tournaments. The BEST part about this game, imo, is the replay feature. As you play through the game, it will automatically record your plays if you score a birdie or better. There are a generous amount of limited plays it automatically records and when they are full it will begin to overwrite them. You can, however, save a replay and mark it to not get deleted! This means that if you have some super cool epic skill shot involving a backspin, you can permanently save it and show it off whenever you want. The replay feature is accessed from the main menu. Speaking of menu's, another great feature of this game is the save game feature, which you can access anywhere at any time. This makes getting tournaments completed practically free and easy, which additionally makes the game far more enjoyable than having to redo an entire tournament because of 1 bad course you messed up on. The saving is a little odd, and if you're using a rom, it will crash the game if you have it set to 128k memory, you HAVE to use 64k. It feels like this review was far longer than any other I wrote, but personally, I think that just speaks to how enjoyable this game was as a pickup and go game. The graphics were decent, gameplay was good for a golf game, and the music was enjoyable (it also changes depending on the situation!). Worth the buy if you're a golf fan or just want a golf game on the side.

All in All, a seasonable 8.5 is what I decided on this game, as it was a good game, but had some major drawbacks. 1 of those was the lack of clarity on what button did what, and what could be done. Another big drawback was the save system which constantly tried to re-save, and even when you quite or retired, tried to push you to save. Not once did it push you to load, but rather, had to re-exit to the main menu to load after refusing to save. very awkward.
