Doom (Sniper)
Genre: First-Person Shooter
Developer: Nerve Software
Publisher: Activision

Graphics
Other than a higher resolution, this version looks closer to the original DOS version than to jDoom or other fantastic source ports. This isn't necessarily a bad thing however-- the original artwork still greatly impresses.

Sound
No compromises: Bobby Prince's outstanding original soundtrack is all here and sounding as good as ever. Likewise, the sound effects are unchanged from the original and are crystal clear.

Gameplay
Other than needing to hold down a button to run, Doom plays fantastically with the 360 controller, utilizing both analog sticks "Halo-style". All three original episodes plus the bonus episode are present, and there is even split-screen coop and deathmatch.

Overall
The only thing that could possibly be wrong with this version of Doom is that it doesn't have a lot of the visual thrills and modernizing features that grace the slew of PC source ports. But if you're looking for a great adaptation that stays true to the original, this is a very good choice.
