Discovery Channel! yeah apparently they made a game, or had a hand in it. It's clear as day that this was a documentary made into a move made into a game, and boy does it show. These people should have hired real game designers and given them intellectual rights and freedoms to make this instead of trying to be a "movie game". To start off, the game is a topdown walking simulator where you walk to find food and minigames. Completing those minigames allows you to advance to the next level. There are only 3 levels. The minigames themselves often revolve around avoiding objects, spamming the A button, or spamming the L/R buttons. Simple stuff. There are also 3 characters to choose from, the polar bear, the walrus, or the fox. The kicker here is that the fox is fast, the other 2 are not. It also doesn't help the game that they tied the RUN button into the health meter. Who does that?
The more you run, the more your health depletes. You pretty much NEED to run with the fox on the level 2 completion challenge. The music is unironically the best part. The art is drab, the gameplay is dull, and there's no real merit to the game outside of the semi-decent soundtrack(?). The title screen has a decent song. Oh and there's no final boss. Press A to beat the game.
All in All, a score of 4 is probably more than this game deserves, but it did provide 'some' gameplay at the end of the day. Many of the minigames have unavoidable hazards that WILL force you to lose lives or gameover. Even weirder, running from the polar bear somehow INCREASES your health and is abusable.... Many questionable designs.. many many questionable designs...
