Mystery Men

Hey movie fans! Im back and today I'll be reviewing Mystery Men. I
have to say this was the best comedy I've seen in a long time. This
movie has a great plot for a comedy super hero movie.
Now Im going to tell you the premise of this movie so if you don't
want to know just skip this paragraph. The film starts off with the
misfit super heros: Mr. Furious, The Shoveler, and the Blue Raga trying
to save a nursing home form the red eye gang. They get their asses
kicked and then the primary hero of Champion City, Captain Amazing,
comes and saves the day. Now this is very easy for the famous hero and
he wants a challenge. So Captain Amazing arranges for his most
dangerous enemy, Casanova Frankenstein, to be released from the crazy
house. Now when Amazing goes up against Casanova he is captured by the
villain. Mr. Furious (Ben Stiller for those of you who didn't know
that) finds out that Amazing has been captured so he and his super hero
wannabe friends hold tryouts for a team so they can save Captain
Amazing. And that is the premise of the film.
Now not only does this film have an outstanding plot it also has
outstanding acting. The best actors in this film were Ben Stiller and
Genien Gerofelo (but that's just my opinion). Oh yea, remember PeeWee
Hermin? Well he plays The Spleen in this movie, a super hero whose
super power is a super fart. "Silent but deadly."
The thing I loved about this film is it kept a dark mood eventhough
it was a comedy. Not many comedies can do this (hell the last two
batman films couldn't do it). This gave you the feeling that Champion
City really was in grave danger.
Well that's my review on Mystery Men. I recommend that you go see
this movie ASAP. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being high) this movie gets a
9.5.
See you at the movies!
