Why do people need leaders? - 12:21 CST, 6/01/15 (Sniper)
Forget oil, forget gold, forget land... human beings are the most lucrative resource to control. You can see this when practically every single job post-- even for stupid things like cashier jobs at McDonald's-- emphasizes that the poster is looking for a "leader", or someone with "leadership."

The only purpose of "leaders" is to control people-- either overtly with force, or more commonly in subtle ways, such as with rhetoric and propaganda. I see this in politics, and I see it in business, at all levels of management. The people who can really fool people with smooth words are in the hottest demand! They make the big bucks, and get the perks. Just look at politicians, or CEOs of corporations.

I wonder what it is about people that makes them so eager to follow? Why is there such a demand for leaders, when people could just be their own "leader", so to speak? Isn't the latter infinitely superior to the former?
